A joint team from the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University has detected radio pulses from a young, previously radio‑quiet neutron star classified as a central compact object (CCO). The detection, the first of its kind in decades, provides key evidence for understanding the formation and early evolution of young neutron stars. The findings were published online in Nature Astronomy.
