OpenAI said on X it will terminate its partnership with AI coding assistant Cursor after SpaceX acquired the company, notifying Cursor that contracts will be wound down with a proposed shutdown date of Nov. 12. OpenAI said the move reflects prior instances of contract breaches by Musk-owned companies and that it cannot be confident SpaceX will use its technology within OpenAI’s service terms.
