Preliminary observations from the German Weather Service (DWD) on the 26th show Germany hit 41.3°C at 17:00 local time in Saarbrücken‑Burbach, Saarland, a national record, surpassing the previous 41.2°C recorded on 25 July 2019 in Tönisvorst and Duisburg‑Baerl, North Rhine‑Westphalia.
